THE BUILDING PROCESS
Whether you are building a new home, adding a needed addition, or remodeling an existing space, we are committed to working hand-in-hand with you to ensure that the experience is an affordable and gratifying one! You can be assured that we will be intimately involved from the initial planning period until the day that you walk into your new space. And, you will find that our craftsmanship, our subcontractors, and the finished product are top quality – we settle for nothing less!
We will begin by visiting your home site with you so that we can listen to your ideas and get a sense for what you are envisioning. We can then explain the building process and consider how we might help you to achieve your goals.
You will be involved from the beginning as we collaborate on the first sketches of your project. Next, we will develop working plans and cost projections. When you are satisfied, we will execute the final construction drawing, sign a Construction Agreement, acquire building permits, and begin construction.
During the process we will follow a payment plan developed by you and/or your bank. Based on a verified percentage of completion, regular construction draws are made approximately every six weeks throughout the building process.
Several allowances for items such as cabinetry, flooring, light and plumbing fixtures, well, septic system and landscaping are built into the contracted price. We can help you to make informed and affordable selections during this time period.
Throughout the building process we will meet with you on the job site and in the office to ensure that the project is moving efficiently and smoothly. We especially value these times together as we collaborate on bringing your vision to life.
